I have connected monitor to my laptop via HDMI and I want to set my monitor screen as primary display, how can i do ?
OS = Window 10/11
Monitor = 32" ( HDMI )
Here is the steps to set monitor or secondary display as the primary display, follow these steps:
1 - Make sure you have set display setting as Extend, if now you can do
Press the Windows key + P on your keyboard and select "Extend".
2 - Open Settings
Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.
3 - Go to the System by Click on System and then Display on the left pane.
Under Rearrange your displays, click on Identify to see which display is number 1 and which is number 2, Here I have number 1 is laptop display and number 2 is monitor.
4 - Click on the display number that corresponds to your monitor or secondary display, here i have select number 2 ( monitor ) as primary.
5 - Scroll down and check the box for "Make this my main display".
Done!! Now we have set the monitor as the primary display
